South Korean MFDS officials visit Thai chicken factory

In 2016, the South Korean government approved Thai chicken exports of both chilled and frozen chicken to South Korea. This is an open market for manufacturers and chicken processors from Thailand. This is to expand the market and add value to the Thai chicken export market.

In 2022, South Korea once again sent two Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) officials to inspect the seven factory plans including hatcheries, slaughterhouses, and processing plants in a period of 14 days. Starting from Laemthong Pouthry (EST.70), it was the first slaughterhouse to be visited this time and there will be trips to other factories such as Cargill, Saha Farm, etc.
