More wheat and rapeseed exports than the production in Bulgaria

Bulgaria exported more wheat and rapeseed quantities than the production output in 2020. According to official statistics, the country exported 4.95 million tons of wheat while production output stood at 4.62 million tons.

Bulgarian rapeseed exports reached 366K MT while the production was as low as 257.6K MT. The main reason behind the lower production yield in wheat and rapeseed was due to droughts that took place in the country.
