New fishing quotas led to an early campaign closure

New EU quota restrictions have led to an early campaign closure for Spanish fisheries. The 2020 campaign for longfin tuna was completed on the 19th of August when Spanish fishermen reached their annual quota. Many fisheries have complained against this measure as previous campaigns have stretched until October or November.
