In Italy, the amount of eggs used by pasta factories to make fresh egg pasta increased by 40% from September to December 2022. As egg usage increases, the price of pasta will rise as well as egg prices are on the rise. The pasta factories can only guarantee pasta prices for December 2022, as egg prices might further increase in January 2023 as electricity and other production costs are expected to keep rising.
