Norway Sees Salmon Prices Rise in W41 Amid Export Decline and 2025 Contract Trading

In W41, Norway’s Fresh Salmon exports, particularly in the 3 to 6-kilogram (kg) Superior Salmon category, dropped by 5.1% week-on-week (WoW), amounting to 1,363 metric tons (mt). However, prices reversed their downward trend, rising by 4% WoW to USD 6.58/kg. Notably, the first salmon contract for 2025 was traded in W42 at USD 8.89/kg FCA Oslo. In Q1 and Q2 of 2025, buyer bids hover around USD 9.49/kg and USD 9.65/kg, respectively.
