Fresh salmon exports from Norway experienced a robust 4% week-on-week (WoW) increase in W36. This growth is due to a significant jump in Superior Salmon (3 to 6kg) shipments, which rose by 910 metric tons (mt) compared to the previous week. However, a continued downward price trend tempered the positive export news. The average Norwegian fresh salmon price dipped to USD 6.64/kg, marking a new yearly low. While the decline was marginal compared to the previous week, there is a growing likelihood that prices may fall below USD 6.61/kg in the coming two weeks.
