During W21, Norway saw a 7.40% week-on-week (WoW) increase in fresh salmon exports, particularly in the 3 to 6-kilogram (kg) superior salmon category. This increase resulted in an extra 869 metric tons (mt) of fish exports. However, despite the higher export volume, prices decreased significantly from USD 0.79/kg to USD 11.42/kg. Looking ahead to future contracts and export forecasts, Sept-24 is expected to see the year's lowest prices, with fresh salmon (3-6kg) anticipated to be around 7.94 to 8.06/kg.
