In W31, Norway's fresh salmon exports, particularly in the 3 to 6 kilogram (kg) Superior Salmon category, increased by 638 metric tons (mt), up 2.9% week-on-week (WoW). This rise in supply resulted in a significant price decrease of 3.53% WoW, bringing the price down to USD 6.95/kg. Prices are relatively low and may continue to drop in the coming weeks, which is typical for this time of year. However, prices are expected to rise rapidly in late Sep-24 and early Oct-24.
