Harvest in Argentina has started. Farmers are much into the fields taking care of last details. Most onions were taken out and are waiting to be appropriately dried to be locally sold and exported. 3 more weeks are needed to manage.

This year, the market is slow compared with the previous one that was already at its peak. Global uncertainty facing the Russian-Ukraine situation and some weather alterations could be some of the reasons.

Some Brazilians buy from Chile, which increased its production, and from Mendoza province, but quantity and quality are not so good either. The current expected price seems to be around FCA USD 8-8.75 per 20kg bag to be confirmed in the following weeks.
