Strong pinto bean crops in Canada and the United States coupled with lower supply out of Mexico are creating a positive outlook for North American farmers. Canada is expecting its largest bean crop since 2006 while the United States is anticipating a record bean crop at 1.49 million MT. Production in Mexico's two primary growing states, Chihuahua and Durango, fell this year and the country is expected to increase pinto imports.
