Export outlook for the Brazilian cocoa by-products

In 2019 50.7 thousand tons of cocoa powder, butter or paste were exported, resulting in an income of US$ 199.73 million. In 2020, the first six months indicated 24 thousand tons, with a 0.1% share in total exports, yielding US$ 98.6 million so far.

In contrast, another section of cocoa, raw or roasted, in 2019, had 0.0008% of shares, with US$ 1.86 million in income and 261st place in the ranking of total Brazilian exports. Of which 98% was produced by a single state, Bahia. Amidst the top markets we can refer as it follows on FOB terms:

. Argentina: 78.6M usd
. US: 66.4M usd
. Chile: 21.7M usd
. Netherlands: 16.4M usd
. Uruguay: 5.61M usd
. France: 2.2M usd

Bahia: R$ 9.66/kg
Pará: R$ 9/kg
Espírito Santo: R$ 9.33/kg
