In California, the past heat wave from August is still causing some red grape varieties to have a lot of quality issues in W39. Some farmers decide not to harvest most of the fruit due to extensive damage to their crops, including soft fruit and breakdowns. The only choice on these impacted fields is to close and not pick any grapes at all.
