Peruvian Avocado variety Fuerte begins harvest in November

Peru has already started the Fuerte variety avocado campaign with shipments to Europe. According to buyers, prices range between EUR 7.0 to 7.5 per 4 kg boxes. Fuerte variety is harvested in the high Andean areas of Peru by small-scale producers or associations that are formed in order to complete containers. Producers are procuring Fuerte variety stocks from last season and this makes it very rare and difficult to export.
