Due to the droughts in October 2022 in Southern and Central Peru, the 2023 quinoa harvest is forecasted to start in early to mid-May with a delay. Farmers had to replant most crops or postpone planting due to the drought. A reduction of 15-20% of the crop is expected and will be more for organic quinoa.
