Philippine Pineapples Have a Shorter Transit Time to Busan, Korea

The 14–15 days of transit time from Davao port in the Philippines to Busan, South Korea, is reduced to 4-5 days due to the new port of loading (POL) from Cagayan de Oro City, which is close to the largest pineapple growers in the Philippines. This new POL also reduced trucking costs compared to the previous POL in Panabo City and maintained pineapple freshness due to fast shipment. Another factor is that the new transit port in Shanghai, China is closer to Korea than the usual ports in Singapore and Port Klang, Malaysia, which is an advantage for both the exporter and the buyer.
