Poland is expected to be declared free of bird flu in the near future. All poultry-producing regions have been free from bird flu for over 90 days. More companies are being cleared for poultry export to Saudi Arabia. However, due to the low price of Brazilian poultry in the global market, Saudi Arabia expects lower prices than what Poland can offer.

Brazil can supply poultry delivered to Saudi Arabia cheaper than Poland can offer ex-works. However, Brazil has no uncontracted poultry available due to its competitive prices, providing a potential opportunity for Polish exporters. Polish whole chicken vacuum-packed sells at EUR 2.45/kg ex-works in Week 26. Due to the war in Ukraine, Poland is experiencing rising input costs in the poultry industry, such as feed and electricity, which is expected to result in price increases going forward.
