The farming market expects positive returns after potato and tubers presented a record supply in December at the Supply Centers (Ceasas). It led to a decline in prices in almost all wholesale markets analyzed by the National Supply Company (Conab), except the Acre state. However, with rainfalls and climate upheavals in the producing regions, produce has been cut shorter, rebounding prices back up again. The sweet potato (Canadian variety) rose 28%, closing at USD 6.04 ex-farm São Paulo for WK 8.

One relevant mention is for the 'papin' potato variety, which is currently gaining ground in the Argentine preserved food market and attending the appetizer consumer trend. After proper damage assessment of crop fields and stocks, prices had severely dropped in a month.
