The Gulfood fair that took place in W8 brought a large number of participants, such as Chinese importers who were interested in Uruguayan beef. Demand is forecasted to increase in the upcoming weeks. During W8, operations with China slowed down before the fair with a drop of around USD 50-100/ton, depending on the cut. Deals were made from Uruguay for shin and shank at USD 6,700/ton, chuck and blade at USD 4,900/ton, round cuts at USD 5,800/ton, and trimming 80 VL at USD 3,600-3650/ton, all CFR.
