Spanish plum prices continue to fall for the coming week in week 27. The fruit was selling in week 26 at around EUR 1.40/kg EXW, and now suppliers are quoting prices for week 27 at around EUR 1.25/kg EXW. The price drop was due to the increased supply available as the campaign is in progress. However, there may be a shortage in supply soon due the delay in fruit maturation. While some growers will cut the fruit as it is to fulfill contracts, others farmers will pick the fruit until the fruit reaches the expected quality.
