US Almonds update: Prices for Current and New Crop have Increased

An official objective estimate for almond crops was released, forecasting a yield of 2.60 billion pounds. This surprised the market with expectations for a number between 2.75-2.85 billion pounds. This was followed by the June Position Report detailing a record shipment for the month of 278 million pounds, up 26% over last year. Prices have not settled yet, but the estimated prices across both Current and New crops are up $0.05-0.15 p/lb.
