Spot prices for Ecuadorian bananas continue with a dropping trend in W47, with reference FOB prices of USD 9.95 for the 13.5 kg box and USD 12.3 for the 18.14 kg box. This drop is a week ahead of price history records since prices in the Russian market dropped weeks faster than forecasted. Demand from the USA and European markets is less due to the recession and inflation present in the global economy. It is forecasted that prices won't drop below USD 9.5 FOB for the 13.5 kg box.
