During W48, rains in Brazil caused damage to grape production. Growers have increased monitoring and powdery mildew protection. On the other hand, post-harvest quality problems are causing grapes that were destined for the US market to be directed to the domestic Brazilian market. Grapes remain of good quality but with low post-harvest resistance and longevity.
