Papaya producers in the state of Espírito Santo, the main export hub of the fruit in Brazil, are suffering from excessive rainfall. With these weather conditions, it is more difficult to find the fruit of standard export quality-which leads to a price increase. On week 42, papayas have been priced at around USD 1125/MT EXW for the Formosa variety and USD 735/MT EXW for the golden variety.
