Ongoing rainfalls set positive estimates for soybean crops in Paraguay

The Production Union (UGP) indicates that the soybean crop is in optimal conditions after the rains that have fallen in recent weeks. Yielding estimates is positive for the upcoming months if the weather continues to follow, according to reports from Cooperative farmers from Paraguay.

Although the fields have not even reached the grain filling stage, the development of soybeans can benefit from the current rain season. If it continues to rain as planned, crop performance shall deliver as its estimates.

Average rainfall is about 20-35 mm in general and some regions present uneven volumes. In Itapuá volume goes from 8mm to 25mm.

According to the climate report of the Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology, in a bigger portion of the country the prospects for rainfall are maintained from low to moderate levels, even to abundant ranges in the established period. The areas that would receive the highest accumulated levels would be especially in southern, east and in the extreme north regions of the country's Eastern Region, with volume range between 101 mm - 162 mm.
