Record in wine imports in South Korea increased in 2021

The importation of wine in South Korea increased by more than 70% in 2021 to reach a record level of USD 506 million. South Korea is the country with the fastest growth within the Asian market. The online sales network is expanding rapidly in South Korea. France represents around 15% in volume and 30% in value and is the number 1 origin of wine imports with USD 162 million. South Korea is one of the strongest economies in the world and an attractive Asian market for wine producers who are betting on the ever-increasing popularity of the drink among the country's middle class.
