Rising price of Indonesian tuna as the harvest season comes to an end and demand remains high

As the peak season of yellowfin tuna has passed, the price of Grade-A tuna (20Kg-Up) has been reported to go up this week. The land frozen tuna is now offered at USD 1850/MT, up from its highest recorded price in December 2020 at USD 1800/MT. Moreover, the price of sea-frozen tuna has also experienced a rise to USD 2000/MT up from its price in the closing of the market last month at USD 1900/MT. As the current level of demand remains high, the price is also expected to go up slightly in the coming week.
