Eggs for human consumption are scarce in Paraguay

The supply of eggs in Paraguay is affected by the high flow of contraband on the borders of Brazil and Argentina. Due to this, many local producers have chosen to stop their production and reconsider business options to produce the eggs.

Imported eggs, which go through the legal customs registration system, are mainly fertile eggs (for chicken production). This is an unfortunate scenario for farmers who are dedicated to the production, but it represents an opportunity for new players who can provide this product, that is, imports.
