The first crop of raw cashew nuts will be available in the last week of December from six growing districts, namely, Jaman North and South, Wenchi, Techiman, Kintampo, and Nkoranza, all In the Bono Region.
The first crop signifies the start of the cashew season. Local farmers from the districts will introduce large volumes of raw cashew nuts into the market, signaling competitive bidding for the crop.
