Currently, Taiwan market enjoys Chilean cherry starting from the end of November. When New Zealand and Australia cherry season begins at the end of December and early January, the consumer would prefer the ones from New Zealand and Australia. As of the Week 50 2021, the market is short of cherry.
The flight space from Chile to Taiwan is limited due to the holiday season and excessive goods for the holidays. The market expects New Zealand cherries to fill the gap as soon as the season starts around the last week of December.
