Decapod Iridescent Virus (DIV1) had been detected once again in a number of shrimp farms in Pingtung City, located in the south of Taiwan on September 10, 2020. A total of 4300 Kg of grown shrimp and 1125 Kg of shrimp fry were destroyed. Since D1V1 can't be cured with medicine, Pingtung County Animal Disease Control Center has informed farmers to take precautionary measures in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
