Sierra Leone to begin export of Vegetables to the European Union

Sierre Leone will begin its first exports of certified vegetables to the European Union next month according to Sierra Leone Investment & Export Promotion Agency.
The first shipment is 10 tonnes of fresh vegetables and frozen leaves weekly to the European market, via Belgium. A container of frozen cassava leaves is also expected to leave Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone has preferential access to European Union and United States markets under the African Growth and Opportunity Act.
