Slight increase in the price of chicken eggs and projected increase during the Christmas holiday in Indonesia

Entering the second week of December 2020, the price of chicken eggs at some of the major markets across Indonesia has been reported to go up slightly. At the moment, the highest average price is at IDR 27.000/Kg, slightly higher than its average price in the entirety of last week at IDR 26.000/Kg.

Some sellers mentioned they could expect the price to go up to at least IDR 28.000 in the coming weeks as the demand for chicken eggs during the holiday tends to be higher.
