South African wine surplus puts industry at risk

Currently South Africa has a wine surplus that is larger than 250 million liters. This has seen the price drop by 7.4% over the last 6 months.

With a good harvest expected, it is a major concern to those in the industry as this may lead to farmers selling a portion of their grapes for juice concentrate, which could further drop the prices.
