The South African Department of Agriculture, Agrarian Reform, and Rural Development (DALRRD) has negotiated an agreement with the European Union to clear blocked citrus containers in EU ports due to a trade dispute over import rules. The department will re-issue phytosanitary certificates to over 820 containers to clear the backlog and provide relief to producers and exporters.
