There is a significant shortage of strawberries in Russia because seasons are over in Egypt and Morocco, and Greece's offers are limited because of an embargo. So the only option was Armenia, which has not reached total production yet. Therefore, wholesale prices are very high; purchasing price is USD 8-9/ kg CIF Moscow Avia. Truck transportation is unavailable because of the 100 km queue at the Lars Georgia-Russia checkpoint.
