August will probably be the last month where Australian citrus exporters will ship to South Korea. Even though the Korea-Australian Free Trade Agreement (KAFTA) has imposed 0% tariff on Australian citrus exports from 2018, South Korea every year imposes a tariff of 50% on all imported citrus to protect their national industry. This tariff starts running for every vessel arriving (ETD) on October 1 and after, thus, Australians and all other exporters will reduce drastically their arrivals after this date.
