The exports of stored Argentinian garlic to Brazil typically continue until May, but they concluded earlier than usual by W12. The global shortage of garlic (especially from Spain), which had its production affected by El Niño, has depleted the Argentinian stocks. As a result, garlic prices in the Brazilian market surged approximately 15% week-on-week (WoW) during W12, reaching USD 44.72 per 10-kilogram (kg) box for cat1, caliber 5.
