Sweet potato production is increasing in Tokat, Turkey

The sweet potato production is increasing rapidly in Tokat, Turkey. The global sweet potato production volume is around 113,000 kmt however its production in Turkey has started just in recent years.

The farmers in Tokat have been experimenting with this product to see whether it would be feasible to grow it in their production fields and so far they have been satisfied with the productivity. The farmers harvest around 5 tons of products per 1,000 square meters. With this high productivity, the sweet potato production areas are expected to continue to increase rapidly in the near future.
