Jackfruit from Thailand is gaining popularity in import markets. The demand for fresh jackfruits in Chinese market has increased, and it is mainly processed into plant-based meat worldwide, especially T8 (Tawai) which can be also eaten raw and ripe with good taste. T8 is also in high demand due to non sticky latex unlike other jackfruits.
