Taiwan lettuce export to Japan decrease due to COVID-19

Japan has been a top destination country of Taiwanese lettuce, taking over 80% of total export volume in past years. However, in the 2020/21 season, the market demand has decreased with the impact of COVID-19, and Japanese importers are cutting back their demand. It is expected that the year over year decrease is more than 20%.
