Tanzanian Dried Pigeon Pea Prices to Rise From W42 Due to Arusha and Dodoma Variety Shortage

The price of pigeon peas in Tanzania is expected to rise by about USD 10/MT from the current USD 700/MT CFR Nhava Sheva, India starting from W42 due to the shortage of crops from the currently available origins of Arusha and Dodoma. Since the Arusha and Dodoma origin pigeon pea seasons are about to end, India is expected to experience a 4% supply shortage.
