Tanzanian Pigeon Pea Prices Have Risen by 10% WoW in W42 As the Season Comes to an End

The Tanzanian 2022/23 pigeon pea season is about to end with the crop supply in the Arusha and Dodoma regions starting to reduce drastically. Suppliers are shifting interest to chickpeas, which is the next crop in Tanzania. Pigeon pea prices are increasing rapidly, especially for Arusha origin, which has shown an increase of USD 50 in a span of two days from USD 724 on October 19 in Mumbai to USD 773 as of October 21. There is also a 10% WoW increase in Tanzanian pigeon pea prices for W42 from USD 700 to USD 770.
