The classification of mangosteen includes oil mangosteen, flower mangosteen, and sand mangosteen. Oil mangosteen is the fruit of a 7-15-year-old mangosteen tree. Flower mangosteen is the fruit of a 15-50-year-old mangosteen tree. Sand mangosteen is the fruit of a more than 50 years old mangosteen tree.
Generally, oil mangosteen is better than flower mangosteen, and flower mangosteen is better than sand mangosteen. Now merchants divide mangosteen into 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, and the difference is mainly size. Now Thai mangosteen is primarily packaged in the plastic box of 7.5kg. In the beginning, the output of mangosteen will be small, the transportation method will be air transportation, and the later transportation methods will be sea and land transportation. The season of mangosteen in Thailand differs by area. From May to July in Eastern Thailand, it is from August to October in Southern Thailand.
