The General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) has reported that peeled pineapples are categorized as processed food rather than fresh fruit for export. Therefore, exporters need to obtain a GACC certificate on the GACC website. To ensure compliance, fresh pineapples must originate from sources certified with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and the packhouses involved should be certified by Thailand's Department of Agriculture (DOA) and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. It's also important to note that Thai-peeled pineapples can only be exported to China by truck.
