A total of 27 Ribeiro Denomination of Origin wineries are making themselves known these days at the Vinexpo fair in Paris, in the first joint promotion action carried out by the Association of Galician Wine Regulatory Councils and the II. GG. Traditional Spirits and Liqueurs from Galicia (ACRUAGA). This is the first time that Galician autochthonous wines and spirits, protected under various quality seals, are jointly promoted abroad.

For Juan Gil de Araújo, president of ACRUAGA, the setting up at Vinexpo of an exhibitor space common to the six regulatory councils, launched with the support of Igape, will allow “creating synergies” between the different protected territories. For his part, the president of the CRDO Ribeiro, Juan Casares, pointed out that “with this activity we begin our international journey to promote the wines of the oldest DO in Galicia. This year we have clearly opted for internationalization, allocating 60% of our investment in promotion to foreign markets. Among other international projects, we will soon participate in the Prowein (Düsseldorf-Germany) and London Wine Fair (London-United Kingdom) fairs”.
