Selling price and production output of Indonesian cinnamon improves this 2020

The price of cinnamon in 2020 has shown major improvements where the price has been at the average of IDR 45.000/Kg, after a record low in 2017 at IDR 14.000/Kg. The production output for this commodity in 2020 has also seen an increase at 800 KMT, an increase from 2018's and 2019's output at 200 KMT and 300 KMT respectively. The rise in the price of cinnamon in the past year has been primarily attributed to the demand for this commodity especially from the hotel and restaurant industry that has bounced back up to normal after experiencing a major slow down in the span of 2016-2018. This has also lead to revitalization to the national cinnamon industry in Indonesia.
