The Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture signs new decree on Australia fresh food safety recognition

The Indonesian fruit importers can continue to import from Australia by taking advantage of the recognition of Australian food safety standards by the Indonesian government. Importers have received the confirmation that the new ministry decree of the Acknowledgement Of Food Safety System Of Australia For Fresh Food or Plant Origin has been released. The importers have been expecting this renewal as the previous decree will be expired by 27 April 2021. There were some shipments that were either chased to be expedited before the 27th or were forced to be temporarily held pending the issuance of this decree. The new decree will be effective from 27 April 2021. Main fresh fruits import from Australia are grape, avocado, and apple.
