The government of Indonesia through its Muslim Scholar Association has recently issued the Halal certification for the production of rabbit meat in the country. This certification is now a must-have document for national companies or businesses with a focus on the production and manufacturing of rabbit meat. This rule was issued in order to ensure the produced rabbit meat can be regulated according to the Islamic standard, considering that Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country. Rabbit meat itself has recently emerged as a new nutrition source alternative in Indonesia due to the fact that it has been clinically proven to have a high amount of protein per serving while containing a lower amount of salt. Hence, it is suitable for people with high blood pressure problems.
