The observation shows that Vietnamese rice is gaining the advantages of pricing thanks to the application of EVFTA. In particular, the price of exported rice is expected to rise from USD 80 to USD 200/MT depending on the type of rice. For instance, many types of rice such as Jasmine and ST20 has already increased gradually to about USD 600 and USD 1000 per MT respectively attracting a lot of EU purchasers. This will be a great chance for Vietnam not only for expanding export markets but also for improving Vietnamese rice image in the globe as the EU is a very strict market with a high requirement of quality.
