The volume of coffee exports decreased in Colombia in 2021

In addition to the lower coffee production in 2021, the export volume decreased in 2021, 1% less than the previous year. To illustrate, 12.5 million bags of green coffee in 2020 and 12.4 million bags of green coffee in 2021 were exported. This decrease is mainly due to the low production in the last quarter of 2021, which resulted in exports between October and December in 2021 being 3.3 million bags, 9% less than the 3.6 million bags exported in the same period of the previous year.
